CIHI is reimagining how to present data and information on our website to improve user experience and, at the same time, optimize our internal processes and leverage new technology to improve timeliness of deployment, operational efficiency and achieve cost savings. The Digital Solutions team is responsible for leading various projects to achieve this vision. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in various aspects to help advance the modernization of CIHI’s reporting and data management platforms.
What you'll do
The practicum student will have the opportunity to participate in various project and operation activities. Activities could include:
1.Reviewing and analysing the business requirements.
2.Support the development of test cases with traceability to acceptance criteria and requirements.
3.Perform User Acceptance Testing to ensure functional requirements are met.
4.Assist with the preparation materials for stakeholder communication and engagement activities.
5.Participate in project and department meetings.
6.Support other activities in the department as required.
What you'll bring to the table
1.Currently enrolled in a graduate program such as eHealth, health informatics, data science or related discipline
2.Be familiar with standard word processing, spreadsheet, database, and communications software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
3.Strong attention to detail, communication skills and organizational skills
4.Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision
5.Experience analysing and manipulating data, preferably clinical and/or other health care data
6.Experience in SAS, Python, Qlik Sense and/or JIRA an asset
Please note this is a hybrid position (must be able to commit to working 2 day a week in office).
