Senior Inspector

Parsons is seeking a senior tunnel/shaft inspector with a EPB tunneling, and geotechnical background to work on a large sewage system project. The successful candidate will conduct daily inspections to determine contract adherence and conformance with contract specifications. She/he will carry out their responsibilities at the project site in Vaughan including:

Perform construction inspection assignments or site visits of on-going tunnel and shaft construction work and related activities. Provide supervision/mentoring to the other inspectors Maintain diaries and photographs to document daily construction activities Assist in invoicing and claims management Be familiar and be able to monitor the contractor work for compliance with contract specifications, safety and environmental legislation Monitor and enforce punch list completion and resolve all open items in a timely matter

A combination of the following education experience is required:

Experience in underground construction including Support of Excavation and EPB TBM operations. Degree or Diploma in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, and/or combination of related experience along with 10+ years of experience in QA/QC inspection of TBM tunneling with precast concrete segmental lining PEO registered, or OACETT registered Road Construction Senior Inspector (rcsi) Knowledge and experience with CSA A23.1/A23.3/A23.4/G-30.18-09/W47.1/ and other relevant specifications. Ability and desire to work at project site on a 24/7 schedule
