About the Summer Research Professional Intern Position:

As a summer research professional intern, you have the opportunity to work on complex business problems within a collaborative environment. Summer Research professional interns can expect to work on multiple projects at a time across various practice areas and industries. Responsibilities and work experiences may include but are not limited to the following:

Analyzing healthcare data using algorithms and statistical programming in SAS, R, Stata, Python, VBA, and other programs Developing data analyses using statistical methods and analytical tools including econometric estimation of models, survival analysis, and machine learning Analyzing health care data from a variety of sources including administrative claims data, clinical trial data, registries, and medical chart data Conducting a range of health economics analyses such as treatment pattern and outcomes, comparative effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and budget impact Creating dynamic visualizations to rapidly explore data and models Examining market and industry behavior through targeted research Reviewing and summarizing reports and client documents Participating in meetings with medical experts, clients, and case team members Assisting in the preparation of study reports, manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journal, abstracts and posters for presentation to scientific conferences, and other client deliverables

Specifically, we seek candidates who are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, graduating in winter 2024 or spring/summer 2025, and have:

A degree focus in biostatistics, computer science, data science, economics, epidemiology, health economics, health policy, mathematics, physics, psychometrics, public health, statistics, or related subjects Passion for using data and analytics to solve the economic, financial, and business challenges our clients face Demonstrated analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills Experience or a strong interest in statistical programming and data analysis Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills An excellent academic record Effectively worked independently and within a team Excellent attention to detail A desire to continuously learn and develop professionally

Research professional interns often re-join the firm to start their career as full-time employees. Full-time research professionals with bachelor’s degrees go on to top graduate programs; some return as associates after graduate school. Many research professionals with advanced degrees progress to the associate level.

Le poste de professionnel(le) de recherche stagiaire (stage d’été) :

En tant que professionnel(le) de recherche stagiaire, vous aurez l’occasion de travailler sur des problèmes commerciaux complexes dans un environnement collaboratif. Le(la) professionnel(le) de recherche stagiaire travaille en général sur plusieurs projets à la fois, touchant à divers secteurs d’activité de l’entreprise et industries. Les responsabilités et tâches qui lui incombent peuvent inclure, sans s’y limiter, les éléments suivants :

Analyser des données de santé à l’aide d’algorithmes et de programmes statistiques dans SAS, R, Stata, Python, VBA et autres ; Analyser des données à l’aide de méthodes statistiques et d’outils analytiques, dont l’estimation économétrique de modèles, l’analyse de survie et l’apprentissage automatique ; Analyser des données médicales provenant de diverses sources, notamment des données administratives relatives aux demandes de remboursement, des données d’essais cliniques, des registres et des dossiers médicaux ; Mener différentes analyses en économie de la santé portant, entre autres, sur les modes de traitement et résultats thérapeutiques ainsi que sur la comparaison de l’efficacité des soins, leur rentabilité et leurs conséquences budgétaires ; Créer des représentations graphiques dynamiques permettant d’examiner rapidement les données et les modèles ; Étudier le comportement du marché et du secteur grâce à des recherches ciblées ; Réviser et résumer les rapports et les documents des client(e)s ; Participer à des réunions avec des expert(e)s du milieu médical, des client(e)s et des membres de l’équipe ; Participer à la préparation de rapports d’étude, de manuscrits en vue d’une publication dans des revues scientifiques, de présentations à des conférences scientifiques et d’autres livrables aux client(e)s.

Nos professionnel(le)s de recherche à temps plein titulaires d’un baccalauréat intègrent par la suite des programmes de deuxième cycle parmi les meilleurs, et certain(e)s reviennent dans l’entreprise en tant que responsable de projet une fois leur diplôme obtenu. De nombreux professionnel(le)s de recherche en possession d’un diplôme de deuxième ou troisième cycle sont promu(e)s au poste de responsable de projet.
