Reportingto the Project Manager and Project Director the Electrical Engineerwill be responsible for thefollowing:

  • Preparationof drawings specifications reports and other technical documentsfor electrical distribution protection controls and other auxiliarysystems for dam and hydroelectricprojects;
  • Ensuredesign compliance with guidelines codes regulations and otherreferencedocumentation;
  • Assistproject managers in the technical planning control and coordinationofprojects;
  • Workclosely with technical teams to coordinate engineeringwork;
  • Ensurequality assurance ofdeliverables;
  • Evaluationof electrical/controls systems products andcomponents;
  • Reportwriting and equipmentrecommendation/selection;
  • Incorporationof engineering changes intodesign;
  • Otherduties asassigned.


Requirements
  • Postsecondarydegree in ElectricalEngineering;
  • Registeredmember of EGBC isrequired;
  • Minimum5 years of experience in Constructionindustry;
  • Experiencein hydroelectricity and dams is considered anasset;
  • Strongcomputer skills with various software experience including MSOffice BlueBeam ACCetc.
  • BilingualismFrench and English would be considered anasset.

Post-secondary degree in Electrical Engineering; Registered memberof EGBC is required; Minimum 5 years of experience in Constructionindustry; Experience in hydroelectricity and dams is considered anasset; Strong computer skills with various software experience,including MS Office, BlueBeam, ACC, etc. Bilingualism, French andEnglish, would be considered an asset.
