Clinic Director, University of Saskatchewan Psychology Clinic (USPC)

The Clinical Psychology (PhD) program housed within the Department of Psychology and Health Studies is undergoing a multiyear expansion which includes increases to the student body, additional tenure-track faculty, and the addition of Staff Psychologists.

Primary Purpose: The Department of Psychology and Health Studies’ program in Clinical Psychology is training the next generation of mental health professionals. Our program is expanding, and this will include increases to the student body, additional tenure-track faculty, an ongoing search for a CRC Tier II Chair in Digital Mental Health Interventions, and a brand-new facility for the University of Saskatchewan Psychology Clinic (USPC) with increased staff. The USPC serves as the in-house training facility for our clinical students and provides much needed services for Saskatoon and surrounding communities. The USPC welcomes self-referrals and client referrals from beyond the USask campus community and seeks to provide low-or-no barrier services through low-fee and sliding scale payment options. The USPC embraces diversity along all dimensions, including race, culture, religion, socio-economic status, bodies and abilities, sexuality, gender identity, and types of families. We are 2SLGBTQ friendly.

The Clinic Director will 1) develop the vision for the USPC and spearhead its growth, 2) supervise USPC staff in day-to-day operations, 3) play a major role in supervising and training clinical psychology students, 4) provide direct services to clients and 5) champion the clinic internally and externally. The clinical psychology program was established in 1971 and has been continuously accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) since 1990.
