The Kitchen Manager is a leader within the kitchen operations relating to food production, health and safety, sanitation, teaching techniques and menu execution while providing direct support to Culinary Leadership. $28.80

Physical Requirement:

Physical Class: Heavy (H) Work activities involve handling loads more than 20 kg

Accountabilities:

Ensures assigned kitchen is up to department standards and equipment exceeds health and safety standards Ensures opening and closing procedures are followed for assigned kitchen Write and maintain the kitchen schedule Ensures quality execution of menu items and that they are delivered promptly to specifications Ensures communication and correct execution of all special dietary requests as per established standards Properly train all kitchen staff members on the accurate execution of menu items, ensuring they are of top quality and align with the established vision of the restaurant Assists service during main meal periods Provides ongoing coaching to culinary team members as they continue their professional development Shows dedication to a creative and positive work environment, fostering a collaborative approach with all F&B team members Clearly and concisely communicates with all F&B team members, ensuring operational information is passed along to all shift leaders Assist in coordinating seasonal menu tastings and daily specials with the entire team, taking pictures, recording comments, and suggesting changes Assist in the creation of seasonal menus Any other duties deemed necessary upon request

Ideal Candidate:

One year of production and Banquet experience is considered an asset Red seal Certification or a degree in Culinary Arts is preferred Holds a current Food Safe Level 1 Certification Has a complete understanding of all aspects of the kitchen operations Is self-disciplined with a sincere desire to provide an elevated guest experience Self-starts on tasks and can respond to varying business volumes as they relate to impacts on the kitchen Is physically capable of working in a fast-paced environment and safely lifting heavy loads of around 22.7kg Is physically capable of working on their feet for prolonged periods
