PAL Airlines is currently seeking applicants for Flight Followers in St. John’s, NL.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Provideflight following for all PAL Airlines flights for the area of operation; Check andmonitor weather conditions; Prepareand flight and weather packages for flight crew; Monitorpassenger and cargo loads for all flights; Responsiblefor the daily line up; compiling information, updates accordingly, circulation; Maintainradio communication with all PAL Airlines flights; Providecoordination of ground services, counter services and flight crews with respectto arriving and departing flights; Coordinatethe aircraft assignments and service ability with maintenance; Coordinatecrew assignments with crew schedulers and flight operations while abidingTransport Canada regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); Coordinatethe passenger/cargo loads with Commercial to ensure efficient movement ofaircraft; Identify and present any impact to the operation or client; Coordinatethe loading/unloading of aircraft with Ground Operations; Duringperiods of irregular operations responsible for identifying alternate solutionsto a successful operation while working in a team environment; Maintainconstant communication with the St. John’s operations center on the status ofall flights using the daily line up and company software programs; Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Abilityto read and interpret weather using the Aviation Weather Web Site would beconsidered an asset; RadioOperators License would be considered an asset; Abilityto work in a fast-paced challenging environment; Strongattention to detail and exceptional organization skills; Strongwritten and verbal communication skills; Theability to work independently is a must; Familiar with Microsoft office products; Must be flexible to work all shifts and adapt to fluctuations in shift times due to operational and/or unforeseen situations.We offer:
