Job Description: 

Reporting to the Controller, the Brewery Accounts Receivable Coordinator is a key position at The Grizzly Paw, responsible for coordinating all brewery-related deliveries and acting as a direct touch point for several departments, management, government bodies, vendors, and customers. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a good knowledge of basic accounting principles, attention to detail, and great decision-making skills. Key Responsibilities: 

  • Managing accounts receivable, tracking and filling company invoices, and following up on late payments.  
  • Produce weekly reports for the AGLC, including itemized lists, file transfers, and associated bank deposits.  
  • Maintaining packaging sheets for beer and soda production. 
  • Preparing various monthly reports, such as AGLC, Federal Excise, Inventory, and Recycling reports, and monitoring EKOS invoicing and credit memos.  
  • Reviewing daily wholesale invoicing and delivery packages.  
  • Preparing weekly brewery bank deposits for beer and soda sales.  
  • Performing general office duties, such as opening incoming mail, ordering office supplies, and light cleaning responsibilities.  
  • Managing deposit refund submissions and end-of-month cash procedures.  
  • Reconciling monthly inventory and assisting in the preparation of audit documents.  
  • Maintaining proper audit records and following company policies and procedures.  
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with all supporting departments. 
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines at all times.  
  • Considering the environmental impact on all decisions.  
  • Performing other duties and projects as assigned by management.  

 

 

Qualifications: 

  • 1-2 years of experience in a brewery, food or beverage manufacturing, or other related industry is an asset.  
  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative setting. 
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles. 
  • Experience in shipping, receiving or inventory management is an asset. 
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including a deep understanding of Excel is required.  
  • Strong knowledge of the following software programs is an asset: EKOS, QuickBooks Online, AGLC Online Portal. 
  • Results orientated with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and good decision-making skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Flexible to work outside of regular business hours as needed. 
  • First Aid certified is an asset.
