Position Description:

The Quality Assurance Analyst will have to ensure the delivery of quality software solutions via development, testing, implementation or support activities and is also actively involved in providing support to the Manager in the ongoing project day to day operations and people management.

Reliability Clearance Requirement (Eligibility: must be a resident of Canada for 5+ years)

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Apply technical knowledge, skills and expertise to provide development, testing, implementation or support service to clients and customers.
• Track and provide root cause analysis of defects/issues.
• Providing capability on project planning, time management and key performance indicators production
• Support the implementation and maintenance of operational excellence artifacts.
• Good communication skills to achieve excellent customer service.
• Seek and respond to development feedback.
• Providing effective team collaboration to rapidly progress projects.
• Escalate risks to team lead in a timely manner Identify training needs of team members and provide coaching support/training to them.
• Assist the team lead in recruitment efforts.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and capture within the team.
• Ensure that scope of test assignment is fully understood and agreed.
• Coordinate test effort and activities to ensure alignment against agreed plans.
• Create/provide support in creating test plan / test strategy, test schedules for the application under test in accordance with client and project needs and methodology standards.
• Design and develop automated or manual test cases/ scripts through requirements analysis.
• Participate in review of requirements and design documents Update and maintain test cases/scripts.
• Enforce peer reviews around testing activities and ensure sign off.
• Maintain test databases, test data, tools and assets for use in testing.
• Execute test cases/scripts as per plan, record test results.
• Produce/Review/Validate estimates of test activities.
• Conduct regression testing & retest failure scenarios
• Log issues appropriately so that corrective actions may be taken.
• Act as an SME on process/product
• Participate in/facilitate defect triage meetings or other project meetings.
• Provide support in the defect management process.
•Monitor, control & review progress of test activities through regular checkpoints
• Produce and issue progress reports.
• Create/provide support in producing Test Closure reports.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Diploma or Degree holder in IT
• At least 5 years’ experience in software development, testing or support environment.
• Computer/IT Literate
• Proven knowledge of process methodology
• Comfortable with software development concepts and lifecycles
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
