Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

As a Forklift Operator, you will be primarily responsible for off-loading and on-loading all goods from containers using a propane SDCB forklift. This role involves operating the forklift about 80% of the shift in a fast-paced environment, handling freight of various weights and sizes. You will utilize paper shipping documents to ensure accurate loading and unloading of products, with a transition to a complex digital shipping software expected in the coming months. The ability to maneuver in tight spaces and handle both small and large shipments efficiently is crucial. The contract duration may be extended based on the internal hiring process.

Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced, 24-hour operation with continuous arrivals and departures of trucks. The facility features over 50 docking doors and a dynamic staging area for various products, from fridges to tires. The team is approximately 50 operators per shift. Steel-toe shoes are required, and shifts run Monday through Friday from 3pm to 11pm, with a pay rate of $24.75 plus a $1 premium for the graveyard shift.

Hard Skills

  • 1 year minimum experience operating a SDCB Forklift in an LTL environment
  • Valid forklift ticket

  • Able to lift 50 pounds repetitively
