**Job Title: Forklift Operator**

**Job Summary**:
The Load Builder is responsible for assembling accurate and secure loads of lumber products according to customer orders and delivery schedules. This role requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to interpret order specifications, and proficiency in organizing and stacking materials efficiently.

**Responsibilities**:
1. **Load Assembly**:

- Read and interpret customer orders to determine the type and quantity of lumber products required for each load.
- Select lumber materials based on order specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Build loads in a timely manner, taking into account weight distribution, stability, and safety considerations.

2. **Order Verification**:

- Verify that the materials selected match the details specified in the customer orders.
- Collaborate with the shipping team to address any discrepancies or special requirements.
- The Ability to load and unload truck in a safe and timely manner

3. **Quality Control**:

- Inspect lumber products for quality and compliance with established standards.
- Identify and segregate any damaged or defective items, reporting issues to the appropriate personnel.

4. **Efficiency and Optimization**:

- Organize and stack materials in a manner that maximizes space and ensures safe transportation.
- Optimize load distribution to prevent damage during transit and comply with weight restrictions.

5. **Safety Compliance**:

- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during the load-building process.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

6. **Communication**:

- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate load-building activities.
- Collaborate with the shipping team to prioritize and manage workload efficiently.
- Provide information about completed loads to the shipping department for documentation.

7. **Equipment Operation**:

- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment as needed.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues.

8. **Customer Service**:

- Assist with loading and unloading operations as required, ensuring a positive customer experience.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or lumber yard environment is advantageous.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Knowledge of lumber products and their characteristics is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid Forklift Certification

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
