We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Mechanical Engineering Technologist. Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out position and will be based in Labrador West, NL requiring candidates to work a Monday-Friday schedule. Relocation assistance is available.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop, read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports. Perform a variety of mechanical design/drafting activities including preparing mechanical and structural drawings. Ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of technical and project documentation in accordance with codes and standards. Assist project engineers and project leads with in field verification of drawings, creation of as-builts, and organization of drawings and project files within Ellipse and Tacora’s project database. Development and maintenance of internal engineering standards, compliant with all relevant codes and regulations. Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles. Organize and lead tasks or projects. Perform project management functions as required. Other duties as assigned.Skills and Qualifications:
Must have 2 or more years of mining or heavy industry related experience Should have engineering aptitude and knowledge of equipment maintenance best practices Organized and detail oriented Ability to be flexible and responsive to changing demands Strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skillsEducation:
Graduation from an accredited Mechanical Engineering Technology Program Driver's License (Required)We are an equal opportunity employer
