 We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Mechanical Engineer. This position either requires a relocation to Labrador West, or a hybrid arrangement from St. John’s, NL. 

  Job Responsibilities:

Support operations and maintenance through continuous improvement of mechanical equipment and systems Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports Assist in developing the scoping and design of projects using drafting tools or computer-assisted design (CAD) or drafting equipment and software Confer with operations, maintenance and project leads to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information  Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions Identify and Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and make recommendations to the maintenance crew Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications, and necessity of modification  Develop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of production, including a selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs  Coordinate fabrication and installation of mechanical equipment modifications. Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications  Organize and lead tasks or projects 

Skills and Qualifications:

The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering The candidate must be registered as a Professional Engineer in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador Excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills  Alignment with Tacora’s core values Self-started and action-oriented Eager to contribute to the teams’ success  Valid Class 5 Driver's License (Required)
