Fall Outdoor Education Staff

Fall Outdoor Centre Staff Overview

During our Fall Outdoor Centre, we host multiple school groups mid-week for 2-4 day programs. We run programming throughout the day and the teaching staff look after the overnight supervision. On weekends, we have community groups or conferences.

Before Labour Day, the Fall Outdoor Centre Staff will help with our family camp.

Main Responsibilities

Run programs in a safe and fun professional manner aligned with Ontario Camps Association and Ontario Physical and Health Education Association guidelines and standards Work collaboratively with other programming staff to deliver safe, fun and creative activities to youth Assist with tasks associated with group living such as cleaning, dishes, stocking firewood, tidying program areas Some light site maintenance will be done for time blocks when groups are not booked 

The Fine Print

Live at Camp in shared staff accommodation on our property near Orillia, Ontario. Accommodation is heated, has electricity and showers. NLS and/or Challenge Course Qualifications and/or ORCKA Qualifications preferred Non-smokers/vapers preferred Students preferred Laundry is available at no charge Staff uniform provided free of cost Paid time off Meals provided, many specialty dietary restrictions can be accommodated Time off is equivalent to 48 hours every 2 weeks and it typically occurs over weekends. Contracts run August 25- October 25, 2024 Reimbursement is $450/week contract (+ 4% vacation pay). Preference goes to people able to do the full contract. Reimbursement will be every 2-weeks via direct deposit.
