As an Azure Platform Engineer, you will be an instrumental part of the engineering team.

This position can be hybrid in Toronto, Canada.

What You’ll Do:

Design, deploy, and manage Azure virtual networks, App Services, Function Apps, Azure Container Apps, and other cloud workloads/resources. Implement and maintain Azure resource groups and subscriptions. Monitor and optimize Azure infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency. Configure Azure security policies, access controls, and firewall rules. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for data security and privacy. Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions on Azure. Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Azure CLI) for provisioning and managing Azure resources. Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform, Helm, Ansible. Configure Dashboards on Datadog for stakeholders. Set up Azure monitoring and alerting for infrastructure and applications. Configure Datadog. Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to Windows Servers, Azure services and resources. Work closely with DevOps and development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with Azure services. Collaborate with other IT teams to align cloud infrastructure with organizational goals. Lead research / design / architecture / development of enterprise services on Azure. Participate in Kanban delivery model to deliver sprint releases through stories/epics utilizing Jira to track all development work and track overall velocity. Serve as a subject matter expert to design, administer and support security of infrastructure and enterprise hosting platforms. Build / Maintain strong partnerships with IT stakeholders including Delivery Engineering, Application Development, Architecture and Security

Technical Skills Required

4+ years of experience working as Azure Platform Engineer. Strong experience in skills listed below. A Computer Science or Engineering equivalent Degree is a Must

Good to Have

Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-303/AZ-304), or Azure DevOps Engineer (AZ-400). Experience with cloud security best practices and compliance standards. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
