The Ecommerce picker is responsible to ensure customer service is provided through maintaining a safe and efficient operation while adhering to Company policies, procedures, and standards.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

Provides customer service and maintains positive customer relations through the proper handling of customer orders and merchandise, make follow up calls with customers to fulfill orders, answer questions, comments, requests, and complaints.  Effectively works in a diverse team environment in a proficient and friendly manner. Performs all aspects of order processing, picking, packing, staging and carryout in an efficient and organized manner.  Achieve and maintain order performance standards Handles merchandise ensuring accuracy, quality, minimizing damages, markdowns and ensures price integrity including price changes. Performs general clean up duties within the Ecommerce and frontend area. Performs duties following established Occupational Health and Safety, Food Safety and Environmental regulations and policies to ensure the health and safety of all staff and customers. Ensures the proper care, use and maintenance of equipment and tools and reports repair requirements to the Ecommerce Manager, Frontend Manager. Performs all aspects of the Customer Service Cashier functions Advise manager/supervisor of any merchandise and supplies that require ordering Responsible for all aspects of receiving including reviewing/verifying invoices, returns, transfers, claims and proper storage of products if required. Responsible for organizing and taking inventory if required. Responsible for updating/monitoring location and stock of items including, but not limited to, seasonal products Responsible for implementation and performance of Customer Service programs.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

Requirement to walk for long periods, could include standing for extended periods Requirement of lifting 50+lbs on a consistent and daily basis  Pushing, pulling, loading and unloading heavy carts  Frequent bending, reaching, twisting and heavy lifting Duties involve repetitive movements. Requirement to perform functions in all areas of the centre, including backrooms.  Effectively dealing with continuous demands of customers. Work is performed in a self-driven environment. Finger dexterity is required for tasks such as keyboards and key pads Frequent time demands and deadlines. Job involves pushing/pulling-loaded carts. Exposure to variable temperatures. May be exposed to criminal activity in the form of fraud, attempted theft or robbery.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Grade 9 or an acceptable combination of education and experience EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE: Related retail experience

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Fluent in English Basic Word, Excel, Outlook, and computer/handheld knowledge Previous cash handling, banking, or related retail experience Previous retail cashier experience
