They are growing and looking to add a talented Mechanical Designer to join this dynamic team in Hamilton, Ontario.
 
Position Overview: As a Mechanical Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing mechanical systems for a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and public works buildings. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to create detailed designs that meet project specifications, codes, and standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed mechanical designs for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Create and revise engineering drawings and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to gather data and verify design requirements.
  • Perform calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, including technical reports and submittals.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
 
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in a consulting firm space
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit required
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
