Compensation

Effective September 1, - $7,.48 per half course ( hours nominally)
Effective September 1, - $14,.95 per full course ( hours nominally)
Please note: Instructors who are employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or the equivalent of a 2-hour/week lecture, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.

Duties

Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement. These include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty).

Qualifications

  • A PhD in Health Sciences/Medical Sciences or related field.

  • After the deadline, if no qualified PhD applications have been received, those at ABD or those with a Master's degree combined with relevant experience will be considered.

  • A sound knowledge of nutrition throughout the lifespan and it’s role in health care is required.

  • Demonstrated success teaching large classes of undergraduate university students.

  • Online teaching experience is an asset including some experience with online delivery tools (MS Teams, Brightspace, LifeSize, etc.) are also desirable.
