About the Opportunity:
The successful Barista will provide an amazing experience for their guests by preparing tasteful beverages, serving ice cream, keeping a clean workspace and making daily sandwiches. The Barista will be positive, supportive, and favorably viewed by supervisors and peers and be swift and efficient in the execution of their assigned duties. The Barista will provide exceptional customer service by being knowledgeable about City Cruises Gananoque tour offerings, local fun facts and an ever-ready preparedness to engage with guests.

Provide exceptional hospitality to coworkers and guests as prescribed in our RESPECT Service System. Responsible for brewing coffee, scooping ice cream and selling a selection of bakery items. Developing and maintaining knowledge of coffee and ice cream flavours to educate guests and colleagues about the selection. Consistently providing well-crafted, beautifully presented, and tasty beverages and ice cream cones. Accurately take orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system. Responsible for making, packaging, and labelling daily made sandwiches. Capable of managing notes and cash handling. Speaking and interacting with both new and regular customers. Maintaining a clean and sanitized working environment. Following all health and safety guidelines. Regularly performing stock checks and submitting inventory count twice a week to ensure the F&B Manager has proper inventory levels for reordering. Being aware of and following operational policies and procedures. Being punctual and maintaining regular and consistent attendance. The ability to work flexible hours and shifts which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Being diligent with punching correct item for sale into Point-of-Sale system, followed by serving correct item/recipe. Contributing to a positive work environment. Provide information to guests including ice cream and drink descriptions, order of service, entertainment options, cruise route and local points of interest. Be prepared to begin work at scheduled time. Maintain uniform and personal grooming in compliance with appearance standards. Other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor on duty.Requirements & Qualifications:
or equivalent as recognized by the Ministry of Education. One (1) year customer service experience is preferred. Energetic and enthusiastic personality essential. Must possess a service orientation – actively looking for ways to help others. Basic computer skills are required. A passion for coffee, ice cream and treats and an eagerness to stay up-to-date with the latest shop specials. The ability to communicate effectively and work together with others in a team. Will work for extended periods without sitting. Punctuality and regular attendance. Attention to detail. The ability to remain calm under pressure especially during peak hour. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, pull, move or lift up to 30 lbs (14 kgs). Will be required to be available for work on all major holidays and weekends. If required, wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) ( non-slip shoes, gloves, weather appropriate dress attire, sun protection).About Us:
