Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operations Project Manager to join our team and lead the implementation of technical projects relating to the operations and asset management of our residential apartment buildings. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical experience, including expertise in Office 365, Excel, and analytical tools such as PowerBI. Some programming skills, and experience in multi-residential operations and Yardi are considered valuable assets.

Duties and Responsibilities

Initial Responsibilities

Complete audits of properties across Canada using Starlight’s proprietary property audit platform and provide reporting to Asset Management team.  Track and report on the correct uploading of contracts into Starlight’s Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform.  Track and report on the status of building orders and undertakings assigned to Property Management Company (PMC) partners.  Provide ongoing training to PMCs and internal stakeholders on these systems, as required.  Assist in managing and amending Starlight’s PMC Guidebook  Support the compiling and uploading of building information into a centralized database.  Track all property Emergencies including related correspondence and action items. 

General Duties and Responsibilities: 

Oversee and manage technical projects related to the operations of residential apartment buildings, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with company objectives.  Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including property management, maintenance, and IT, to ensure effective collaboration and efficient execution of project tasks.  Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and report on project status to the Director of Operations and other stakeholders.  Implement and maintain project management best practices and tools, leveraging Office 365, Excel, PowerBI, Yardi, and internal solutions to support data-driven decision-making.  Continuously evaluate and optimize operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.  Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive in the multi-residential market. 

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field  3 – 5 years of project management and/​or facility management  Experience in programming  Excellent oral and written communication skills  Strong Interpersonal Skills  Strong follow-up skills and ability to work in a changing, fast-paced environment.  Experience with multi-residential properties and Yardi is an asset.
