As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will be an integral part of a collaborative culturally-competent interdisciplinary team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers.

What you’ll be doing

Support and facilitate staff to attain excellence in practice through clinical strategies, practice, education and resources Assess learning needs of both existing and newly hired staff for professional practice learning initiatives Engage in orientation and onboarding of new staff using a coaching/mentoring model Provide staff with regular individual and group coaching sessions on clinical practice Assist leadership with designing and delivering education related to changes in clinical practice and patient care requirements Collaborate to identify opportunities for interprofessional learning development and integration Organize educational events at the facility including inviting and coordinating guest speakers Develop clinical training plans based on quality indicators, surveys, audits, incident reporting and relevant regulations/standards Lead the accreditation team to meet organizational accreditation objectives Plan and implement CODE drills Ensure the safety of patients, staff and visitors by maintaining knowledge and adherence to infection control, emergency response and established policies Provide first aid and refer patients to medical care as necessary

What we’re looking for:

Bachelor of Nursing from an accredited nursing college; Master’s Degree preferred or equivalent level of education and experience 3-5 years of clinical education/adult education experience with an understanding of adult learning principles Ability to develop and deliver educational strategies and programs Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals Experience in Infection Prevention and Control Management or related training First Aid/CPR Certification for health care providers (Level 1 or greater)
