LABORATORY ANALYST - HRMS PREP

(Full time position)

As a Laboratory Analyst, your main responsibilities are as below:

Work in the HRMS Prep Lab including SVOC Air. Prepare samples for analysis by High Resolution GC/MS or Low Resolution GC/MS according to SOP protocols. Utilize daily workload reports to ensure all extraction hold times are met. Must successfully perform annual Proficiency Testing once trained. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Ensure that deadlines are met. Follow all laboratory safety rules and regulations. Keep work area clean, neat and organized. Contribute to daily and weekly planning. Other responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor.

You are the ideal Laboratory Analyst, if you have:

A University degree or college diploma in Sciences, preferably chemistry or environmental related and/or equivalent experience. Two to three years’ experience in an Environmental laboratory with extractions of waters and soils. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good record keeping skills and attention to detail. The ability to accurately follow Standard operating Procedures (SOPs) and instructions. Are a dynamic, energetic, motivated individual with positive outlook and "can-do" attitude. Bureau Veritas is a world leader in testing, inspection and certification services.

Must be able to work an afternoon shift (1:30 pm to 10:00 pm), including working on alternate weekends, and/or be able to work a compressed work week
