Accounting Clerk

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Clerk to join our team in Beamsville, Ontario. This role is in the industry of finance and accounting, where you will be primarily responsible for managing accounts payable, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining an effective filing system.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts payable for multiple companies, ensuring timely and accurate bill approvals and entries
• Conduct weekly check runs and wire payments to maintain financial liquidity
• Reconcile and manage corporate credit cards and employee expenses to ensure accuracy and prevent fraud
• Invoice customers for manager travel reimbursements and management fees
• Regularly reconcile customer accounts to ensure all transactions are accounted for
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconcile intercompany accounts to maintain financial accuracy
• Process bi-weekly payroll, remit and reconcile payroll accounts
• Prepare and post intercompany journal entries as required to ensure accurate financial records
• Correspond with customers and vendors to resolve inquiries and maintain strong relationships
• Maintain an effective filing system to ensure easy access to important documents
• Undertake ad hoc projects as required to support the team and improve financial processes.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Check Runs
• Ability to conduct Bank Reconciliations
• Knowledge in Canadian Payroll
• Experience in managing Intercompany Transactions
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Proactive problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
