Risk Analyst (Vendor Management Third Party Risk)
Our client in the insurance industry is seeking a skilled Risk Analyst with expertise in Vendor Management and Third-Party Risk to join their team on a contract basis. This role is designed to cover a leave and is crucial in supporting the Vendor Governance Management team in North America.

Responsibilities:
• Support annual governance activities by collecting, comparing, and preparing governance data across various programs, including SLA measurements, vendor IT backgrounds, and cybersecurity issues.
• Collaborate with business units, stakeholders, and internal subject matter experts to ensure effective risk management of the company’s vendors globally.
• Conduct pre-contract due diligence, reviewing questionnaires and assessing the impact of risk assessments on vendors.
• Complete annual risk governance for high-risk vendors, ensuring compliance with established policies and mandatory risk requirements (e.g., information security, contractual obligations).
• Engage with Information Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, and other risk management experts as needed.
• Review and assess vendor risk issues, escalating any compliance problems that have not been resolved adequately.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, improving awareness of operational risks posed by vendor failures or poor performance.
• Perform data aggregation, analytics, and reporting activities.
• Assist with and manage ad hoc projects as required.
What you will need to succeed:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CISA certification or equivalent in information security is advantageous.
• 5+ years of experience in a professional environment.
• 3+ years of experience in vendor management, third-party risk, operational or enterprise risk, internal audit, or corporate procurement/contracts.
• Strong knowledge of risk management practices and principles, with hands-on experience in monitoring and managing vendor risk.
• Proficiency in Business English (written and oral), with excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deliverables on time, with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and SharePoint.
• Information security knowledge with the ability to read and understand vendor risk assessments.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented attitude.
• Exceptional multitasking and decision-making abilities, with sound judgment in prioritizing tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide clear solutions.
• Experience in the financial industry is a plus.
