Manager Pharmacy

POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager Pharmacy shall be accountable to the Director Pharmacy and is responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, evaluation and operation of Pharmacy Services within Prairie Mountain Health. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overview

Responsible for the safe administration and operation of Pharmacy Services throughout Prairie Mountain Health. Monitors appropriate financial, human resources, equipment and environmental issues of Pharmacy Services within Prairie Mountain Health. Oversees the development of policies and procedures related to Pharmacy Services. Instrumental in the planning and development of a sustainable program. Participates in portfolio/facility/regional team structure. Responsible for ensuring compliance of Workplace Safety and Health, Infection Prevention and Control, Hand Hygiene, Regional Policies and other educational requirements for all staff under their supervision. Develops and maintains functional relationships with other departments/programs. Plans for continued professional development of staff and self. Promotes positive public relations. Operationalizes Prairie Mountain Healths Vision, Mission and Values statements. Promotes the quality dimensions of access, safety, effectiveness and satisfaction in the provision of Prairie Mountain Healths services. Maintains their clinical knowledge and practice skills at the minimum level required of staff pharmacists practicing within the same clinical practice specialty.
