Job Summary
The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, evaluation, and operation of Pharmacy Services within Prairie Mountain Health. This role requires a strong leader who can oversee the safe administration and operation of Pharmacy Services, monitor financial, human resources, equipment, and environmental issues, and develop policies and procedures related to Pharmacy Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to improve Pharmacy Services and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the development of policies and procedures related to Pharmacy Services, including those related to patient safety, quality improvement, and staff development.
- Collaborate with other departments and programs to ensure effective communication and coordination of Pharmacy Services.
- Monitor and analyze financial, human resources, equipment, and environmental issues related to Pharmacy Services and develop strategies to address them.
- Ensure that Pharmacy Services are provided in a safe and effective manner, and that staff are trained and competent to perform their duties.
- Develop and maintain functional relationships with other departments and programs to ensure effective communication and coordination of Pharmacy Services.
- Plan for continued professional development of staff and self, and promote a culture of lifelong learning.
- Operationalize Prairie Mountain Health's Vision, Mission, and Values statements, and promote the quality dimensions of access, safety, effectiveness, and satisfaction in the provision of Prairie Mountain Health's services.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Pharmacy or a related field.
- Current licensure as a pharmacist in the province of Manitoba.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a pharmacy setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data and develop strategies to address issues.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to Pharmacy Services.
