Position Description:

Location: Halifax NS

Key Skills: Mid-tier Java and UI Angular, Spring, Spring boot, AWS EKS, Kafka, data dog for monitoring, Oracle PL/SQL.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

•Design and Development:
oCollaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, architect, and implement end-to-end solutions.
oDevelop middle-tier business logic, architecture, and APIs using Java and Spring.
oWrite clean, maintainable, and efficient code for both front-end and back-end components.
oPerform software design and code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.

•Full Stack Expertise:
oWork on complex problems with broad impact, requiring in-depth analysis and judgment.
oImplement features across the entire technology stack, from UI to database.
oIntegrate with third-party APIs and existing frameworks.
oAdvise on new technologies and methodologies to enhance system capabilities.

•Quality Assurance and Deployment:
oWrite unit tests to continually improve code quality and feature delivery.
oWork in a continuous delivery environment, deploying production-ready code continuously.
oCollaborate with IT team members to maintain structured code and ensure system stability.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Technologies and Tools:
oMid-tier Java: Proficiency in Java programming for building robust back-end services.
oUI Angular: Strong experience with Angular for creating responsive and interactive user interfaces.
oSpring and Spring Boot: Expertise in Spring framework for building scalable and maintainable applications.
oAWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service): Knowledge of container orchestration and deployment on AWS.
oKafka: Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message brokers.
oDataDog: Utilize DataDog for monitoring, logging, and performance optimization.
oOracle PL/SQL: Experience with Oracle databases and writing efficient PL/SQL queries.

Education and Experience:
oBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
o10+ years of total professional software development experience.
o3+ years of JavaScript development experience (server-side & client-side), including different asynchronous patterns like events, callbacks, and promises.
