Cambridge, Canada Arctic Wolf Full time

Arctic Wolf, with its unicorn valuation, is the leader in security operations in an exciting and fast-growing industry—cybersecurity. We have won countless awards for our excellence in security operations and remain dedicated to providing an industry-leading customer and employee experience.

Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Machine Learning Developer to be a part of making this happen.

About the Role

Our team tackles some of the most difficult problems: taking the centuries of collective security knowledge of our security experts and scaling that across hundreds of billions of observations per day. We need your help to do it. We’re looking for someone to take our infrastructure and expand it to handle hundreds of machine learning jobs, trillions of daily events, and make it all effortless to use. If that sounds like a challenge you’re ready to tackle, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities Include:

Build out our machine learning platform to handle hundreds of billions of observations per day

Add tooling for our data scientists to train, test, and get feedback on their machine learning models with minimal effort

We value a culture of sharing, so every team has the opportunity to share their work with the entire department during our monthly R&D Demos. Once a year we hold a department-wide Hackathon, teaming up across all R&D teams over four days to collaborate and build cool ideas outside the normal project scope. While innovation is the focus, some of these ideas do make it into our products.

About You

You are a talented Machine Learning Developer who is a match for this description:

Experience with working on backend systems

Excited about working in the MLOps space

Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Spark, and Python

Experience with CI/CD pipelines

Experience building out a machine learning pipeline

Experience with infrastructure as code (terraform, cloudformation)

Familiarity with machine learning and basic classes of algorithms (classification, regression, clustering, graph-based, time series, anomaly detection, etc.)

Familiarity with one of Go or Java

Interview Process

The interview process is approximately as follows:

Phone pre-screening: A recruiter contacts you to briefly discuss your work history and provide an overview of Arctic Wolf. Approximately 30 minutes

Technical assessment: A recruiter sends you a link to a straightforward technical assessment that is relevant to the role you are applying for. Approximately 1 hour

Face-to-face interviews: Several team members conduct two interviews to learn more about you and provide more information about your potential role and team. Be prepared to collaborate on a technical problem and talk more about past projects and your career goals. Approximately 1 hour per interview
