Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be a part of the Transportation team , based in Markham, Brampton, or Ottawa, ON  office and have the opportunity to work on the various projects .

What a day at EXP has in store for you

Perform project management for the planning, design, rehabilitation and inspection of bridges; Prepare the design specifications required for both design of new structures and rehabilitation of existing structures; Conduct analysis and design calculations as per the applicable codes, standards and regulations; Lead and manage assigned projects and ensure the achievement of project objectives; Coordinate and supervise the appointed technicians and engineers to the project; Participate and contribute in office/region coordination with other disciplines as required, including business development and resource sharing; Mentor junior designers and provide direction for engineers during various phases of design and construction; Review and revise technical documents required to produce the necessary tender documents for construction  Prepare tender documents including specifications, quantities and drawings; Perform other various activities necessary for the implementation of projects; and participate in proposal preparation.

What your experience looks like

Experience with design of new structures and rehabilitation of existing structures ; Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and registered as a . in Ontario; 10+ years of relevant experience in construction, design and rehabilitation of bridges; Must have experience working with MTO, Cities and municipalities;  The ideal candidate will be RAQS registered, certified/able to register for multi-span bridge category with MTO;  Must have in depth knowledge in the design of bridges and familiar with MTO design guidelines; specifications and standards; Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis software; and Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
