Wood is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Designer in Edmonton, AB or Calgary, AB to join our busy and growing Oil & Gas Canada team due to growth in our business Please note this role will work our standard office hybrid work schedule.

Assures compliance with Engineering Procedures and quality control standards Interfacing with various engineering disciplines and suppliers. Project Execution may include but not limited to:Specifying, selecting and sizing field instrumentation (Pres/Temp/Flow/Level), Control Valves, on/off valves, relief valves and control devicesDevelopment of DatasheetsPreparing various instrumentation lists and indexes Preparing and checking Instrument Loop diagrams as well as System cabinet design / wiringResponsible for performing squad check of vendor data and drawings from other disciplinesDesign, development, and technical content of the I&C portion of project workHave frequent contact with vendorsPlan, coordinate and prepare Material Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations and award recommendations for various equipment within instrumentation and controls. Instrumentation Technologist from an accredited College. Minimum of 5 + yrs. Industry experience Understanding and familiarity of API, ASME, CSA and ISA codes and directives. Experience in the oil and gas sector is preferred  Familiarity and experience with AutoCAD is an asset Ability to problem-solve effectively Has the ability to manage multiple ongoing projects  Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience in the use of Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI/Intools) is an asset. Registration through ASET or APEGA is an asset.
