Project Technologist – Contract position (8 Month)

Indoor Environmental Quality

Mississauga/Toronto, ON

Today is the day to boost your career Pinchin is seeking a Project Technologist to join our Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) team in our Mississauga Office.

Reporting to a Team Leader, the Project Technologist will provide clients with a variety of consulting services involving indoor air quality, Legionella, microbial contamination, and infection control.

A Day in the life of a Project Technologist at Pinchin:

Complete assessments for mould, indoor air quality (IAQ), designated substances and other hazardous materials.Conduct interviews with clients regarding building history and site-specific client concerns.Perform inspections and evaluate building systems.Assess building damages related to floods, water losses, smoke, and fire.Assist clients following flood and loss emergencies to get buildings dried, cleaned, or remediated and operational.Collect a variety of air and bulk (mould, asbestos, lead, dust, bacteria, etc.) samples.Interpret laboratory results.Prepare detailed reports documenting findings and provide recommendations to address concerns.Inspect abatement and restoration contractors undertaking mould, asbestos and other hazardous materials remediation work to document that the work has been properly completed.

What you bring to the Pinchin team:

College diploma in Construction or Architectural Technology, or Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalentPost-graduate environmental management certificate or equivalent would be an asset.1-2 years of experience with IEQ work preferred.Consulting industry experience preferred.Experience with building construction or maintenance is an asset.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).Exceptional oral and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills.High attention to detail.Valid driver’s license, insurance and a personal vehicle required.Availability to travel to clients’ sites (primarily within the GTA).Availability to work outside of core business hours (occasional evening and weekends).
