Product Manager - Panels

CGC Inc. is currently recruiting a Product Manager, Panels for our Product Management Team, based in Oakville, Ontario.

The Product Manager, Panels manages the market performance of CGC’s panels product line. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day management and welfare of the assigned product line throughout the product's lifecycle, from the innovation of new products to product positioning and strategy. Further, they will coordinate Canadian efforts of research, manufacturing, quality, marketing, and sales in introducing new and promoting existing products and systems. Lastly, serving as the primary representative for our Canadian business within the USG North American Panels Product Management Team.

Duties and responsibilities of the Product Manager, Panels include:

  • Consistently and effectively represents the needs of the Canadian customer and sales team on the North American CGC/USG Panels Product Management Team
  • Identifies Canadian market opportunities by attaining knowledge of the industry, competitors’ positions, and customer needs across all channels through direct interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Works closely with CGC/USG Product Management in the exploration and development phases of new products, to ensure suitability for Canada.
  • Works closely with CGC Sales, CGC Marketing Communications, outside agencies, and Customer Service to maintain, develop and launch effective communications and sampling programs for new and existing products.
  • Coordinates the preparation and distribution of pricing documents for assigned products in Canada.
  • Maintains technical proficiency and acts as the primary source of marketing information for CGC Sales and Management within the scope of product responsibilities.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for Canadian third-party vendors for assigned product lines.
  • Works on and potentially leads selected North American product development and maintenance of business projects to support the growth of CGC Panels Business

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three to five (3-5) years of sales experience, product management experience is preferred.
  • Self-starter with very strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Building materials industry knowledge preferred.
  • Demonstrated effective presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Leadership skills to direct teams and manage multiple projects.
  • Understands budgets and other financial data, i.e., income statements, mark-up vs. margin, product costing and their impact.
  • Active and knowledgeable user of Salesforce.com and computer proficiency required in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Other industry-related computer skills are a plus.
  • Team player and good listener. Strong leadership and customer service skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout North America.

Salary midpoint may be adjusted depending on prior experience.

The position will be hybrid remote based out of Oakville Ontario.
