Calian is looking to hire a Bilingual Patient Sitter.

Qualifications:
  • English and French communication is required; bilingualism is mandatory.
  • Must be able to work shifts (day, evening, night).
  • Must have a current CPR certificate.
  • Must have a recent (within the last 1 year) police check for the vulnerable sector.
  • Must have a negative TB test from within the last 1 year.
  • Must have a mobile device and access to the internet.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to monitor patients for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to respond swiftly.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Must have a high degree of patience.
  • Must be calm and respectful.
  • Must be proficient with technology.

Patient Sitter Expectations:
  • Sitters are expected to dress in a professional manner with an identification badge.
  • Sitters are required to sit in the patient's room.
  • Sitters are to be attentive and observe the patient at all times.
  • Sitters are permitted to read while the patient sleeps (no phones or tablets/earbuds).
  • Sitters are required to report all concerns and/or observations as they occur to the patient's assigned nurse.
  • Sitters are to communicate and converse with the patient.
  • Sitters are to never leave a patient unattended under any circumstances.
  • Sitters are not to engage in extended conversations with other patients.
  • Sitters are not to give advice to patients.
  • Sitters must maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Calian cherche à embaucher un(e) Gardien(ne) de personnes bilingue.

Qualifications:
  • Communication en anglais et français requise; le bilinguisme est primordiale.
  • Doit être capable de travailler par quarts (jour, soir, nuit).
  • Doit avoir un certificat de RCR à jour.
  • Doit avoir fait l'objet d'un contrôle de police récent (au cours de la dernière année) pour le secteur vulnérable.
  • Doit avoir un test de tuberculose négatif au cours de la dernière année.
  • Doit disposer d'un appareil mobile et d'un accès à Internet.
  • De solides compétences en communication.
  • Capacité à surveiller les patients pendant des périodes prolongées.
  • Capacité à réagir rapidement.
  • Capacité à bien travailler avec les autres.
  • Il faut faire preuve d'une grande patience.
  • Doit être calme et respectueux(se).
  • Doit être à l'aise avec la technologie.

Attentes envers les Gardiens de Patients :
  • Les gardiens doivent s'habiller de manière professionnelle et porter un badge d'identification.
  • Les gardiens doivent s'asseoir dans la chambre du patient.
  • Les gardiens doivent être attentifs et observer le patient à tout moment.
  • Les gardiens sont autorisés à lire pendant que le patient dort (pas de téléphone ni de tablette/écouteurs).
  • Les gardiens sont tenus de signaler toutes les préoccupations et/ou observations dès qu'elles surviennent à l'infirmière désignée du patient.
  • Les gardiens doivent communiquer et converser avec le patient.
  • Les gardiens ne doivent en aucun cas laisser un patient sans surveillance.
  • Les gardiens ne doivent pas engager de longues conversations avec d’autres patients.
  • Les gardiens ne doivent pas donner de conseils aux patients.
  • Les gardiens doivent maintenir la confidentialité des patients à tout moment.
