Job Description :

We are looking for a Front End Salesforce Developer who wants to join a team that works hard, has fun, and makes a difference in the market. Responsibilities:

Work with the development team to understand and propose solutions to business problems. End-user experience, alignment with business processes, and security should be top priorities in the solutions proposed.

Design new, or augment existing code using accepted design patterns, develop unit tests, and change sets, and oversee deployments.

Prioritize reported bugs or improvement areas and propose mitigation strategy & timeline.

Evaluate and advise on technical aspects of open work requests in the product backlog with the project lead and will assist with planning and executing releases of components into production.

Identify and recommend technical and operational improvements resulting in improved reliability and/or efficiencies in maintaining and/or developing the application.

Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades.

Ensure testing is outlined and addressed for the stability and functionality of the application.

Familiar with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.

Carry out deployments and support the platform.

Support and help the team move forward by taking part in the design, code, and security reviews.

Participate in various Agile/Scrum meetings including participation in estimation and ensuring quality of user stories and tasks to meet expected outcomes.

Obtain and maintain Salesforce certifications for developers.

Work with the management team to support administrative, development, and change management activities.

Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Software Engineering or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.

3 + years of experience in software engineering.

Experience with integration patterns and best practices to seamlessly connect Salesforce APIs for integrating with other Salesforce tools and third-party applications.

Experience with Visualforce and Lightning Components for designing and developing custom user interfaces

Knowledge of Vlocity (Salesforce Industries products) leveraging Lightning components for improved user experiences is preferred.

Experience with Apex programming language for customizing and extending Salesforce features

Expertise in managing and manipulating data within Salesforce

Knowledge of Salesforce CPQ for configuring products, pricing, and quoting

Knowledge of Salesforce Security features, ensuring that sensitive marketing and sales data is appropriately protected

Experience with Newport Design System or similar an asset

Experience with Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) is preferred, experience with Communications Cloud specifically will result in strong candidateship.

All Salesforce certification and/or expertise in a Salesforce environment, including APEX, Visualforce, and Lightning components, will be evaluated.

Must have experience with integrating Salesforce Clouds with upstream and downstream systems via APIs.

Demonstrated experience delivering products in Agile/Scrum mode.

Additional Knowledge /Skill Requirements:

Fluent with the primary Salesforce.com programmatic technologies: Apex, SOQL/SOSL, Visualforce, and Lightning Components.

Fluent with Vlocity employed development methods and techniques -data raptors and omniscripting.

Experience with Salesforce DevOps tooling (GearSet, Copado, etc) and processes an asset.

Strong understanding of complementary technologies: Java, SQL, HTML/JavaScript.

Understanding APIs, REST, and SOAP services is an asset.

Ability to interpret existing code for the purpose of enhancing existing, and developing new code that does not conflict with existing processes.

Ability to interpret technical specifications, and create technical documentation.

Familiarity with development in other cloud services (i.e. Azure, Amazon, etc.) is an asset.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills.

Excellent written and spoken communication skills; can effectively communicate with a non-technical audience.
