The Property and Casualty Insurance Compensation Corporation (PACICC) is an industry-funded, not-for-profit organization funded by Canada’s P&C insurance companies, approved by government regulators, to protect policyholders and claimants.
For well over a century, hundreds of competing property and casualty (P&C) insurance companies in Canada have honoured millions of claims—amounting to billions of dollars—promptly, and in full. Insurance company failures, although rare, can and do occur. That’s why Canada’s P&C insurance companies fund a special program, approved by government regulators, to protect policyholders and claimants.
PACICC’s mission is to protect eligible policyholders from undue financial loss in the event that a member insurer becomes insolvent.
PACICC’s desire is to enhance the Corporation’s preparedness and increase its financial capacity, in this regard, the organization is seeking to recruit a talented and fluently bilingual Vice President, Finance to support the alignment of financial strategies. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP Finance will be responsible for all financial functions including treasury, financial reporting, budgeting, auditing, investment management and internal controls.
The VP Finance will work closely with the CEO to align financial strategies with the overall vision of the organization and lead the effort to ensure PACICC has the appropriate mix of short-, medium- and long-term liquidity available to manage resolution and insolvency scenarios involving a member insurer.
PACICC is seeking a senior, talented individual with a proven leadership track record, strong financial skills, and superior analytical capabilities to head the financial function as VP Finance.
As the ideal candidate, you have experience working with financial regulatory authorities, external auditors, internal controls, and compliance related issues as well as a strong interest in public policy. You possess a strong blend of financial acumen, industry knowledge, relationship building skills, and strategic focus to lead PACICC in achieving its goals.

La SIMA a pour mission de protéger les titulaires de police admissibles contre les pertes financières excessives dans l’éventualité où un assureur membre deviendrait insolvable.
La SIMA souhaite améliorer son niveau de préparation et accroître sa capacité financière. À cet égard, l'organisation cherche à recruter une vice-présidente ou un vice-président des finances parfaitement bilingue afin d'appuyer l'harmonisation des stratégies financières. Relevant directement du président et chef de la direction, la personne titulaire du poste de vice-présidence des finances sera responsable de toutes les fonctions financières, y compris la trésorerie, les rapports financiers, la budgétisation, l'audit, la gestion des investissements et les contrôles internes.
La personne titulaire travaillera en étroite collaboration avec le président et chef de la direction afin d'harmoniser les stratégies financières avec la vision globale de l'organisation et de diriger les efforts visant à s'assurer que la SIMA dispose de la combinaison appropriée de liquidités à court, à moyen et à long terme pour gérer les scénarios de résolution et d'insolvabilité impliquant un assureur membre.
La SIMA est à la recherche d'une personne chevronnée et talentueuse qui a fait ses preuves en matière de leadership, qui possède de solides compétences financières et des capacités d'analyse supérieures pour diriger la fonction financière en tant que vice-présidente ou vice-président des finances.
La personne candidate idéale possède une expérience de travail avec les autorités de réglementation financière, les vérificateurs externes, les contrôles internes et les questions de conformité, ainsi qu'un intérêt marqué pour les politiques publiques. Vous possédez un solide mélange de perspicacité financière, de connaissance de l'industrie, de compétences en matière d'établissement de relations et d'orientation stratégique qui vous permettra de mener la SIMA à la réalisation de ses objectifs.
