About the Role

The Digital Innovation team within BSG IT, is looking for a full-time student for the summer 2024 coop term.

The student’s primary responsibilities will be focused on supporting the team in delivering data analytics services to the business platforms and will be called to leverage various systems and tools to achieve this target.

Key Responsibilities

Provide support for the organization’s business applications from a data analytics perspective. Analyze and follow service calls through to resolution using the ticket management tool; includes the management of incidents, service requests, or change requests. Provide support in research, troubleshooting, development and testing as required. In collaboration with the team, document applications, operational procedures, changes, and interventions in accordance with established standards. Support activity reporting efforts as required.

Knowledge and Experience Required

Currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary education program. Completed at least one year of university or college studies in Computer Science, Programming, or any other IT-related field. Analytical skills and strong problem-solving skills. A good understanding of formal change management and incident management processes. Action-oriented self-driven person who can perform his or her duties with limited supervision. Strong attention to detail. Strong planning, prioritizing and time management skills - must be able to undertake and manage multiple tasks at the same time and work under deadlines and operational pressures. Enjoys collaboration in a team environment. Excellent work ethic. Good communication skills (verbal and written). Familiarity with one or more of the following an asset: SharePoint, Tableau, Alteryx, Databases (SQL, Oracle), Azure Cloud, Power Platform, ITIL. Basic knowledge of ERP applications an asset.

Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 3 days to perform most effectively. We will reassess the approach on a as needed basis.
