The Water / Flood Technician is responsible for emergency response and restoration projects, ensuring insurance company and customer goals are met through water remediation procedures in accordance with IICRCS-500 Standard.

Work on job sites providing the following services:Water pumping and extractionMold remediationMoving & re-setting contentsSelective demolition as required to accommodate the drying processDebris disposalSetting drying equipmentCarpet cleaningCapable of moisture mapping the affected area, inclusive of temperature, relative humidity and moisture content readings Participate as directed in the following activities:Vehicle safety and maintenance inspections/ ensure vehicle is cleaned and restocked at end of shiftConstructing polyethylene enclosures Maintaining equipment Participates in and demonstrates an understanding of safety principles and practices; follows all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of machines and equipment Comply with all BELFOR policies and procedures, as well as legislative requirements Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may or are affecting completion of the job to the appropriate person This role could be required to act as a “lead” periodically as designated by their managerRequired Qualifications:
IICRC certification for Water Restoration Technician (WRT) required IICRC certification for Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) an asset Previous construction, restoration or Insurance experience considered an asset Familiarity with chemical products including use, disposal, and Safety Data Sheets Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR’s vehicle policy Ability to work within a team or independently as needed Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-driven to achieve goals and meet deadlines Proven ability to multitask in a fast paced environment Attend all BELFOR sponsored training courses Basic computer and/or Tablet / iPad experience Willing to work evenings, on call and weekends when requested Periodic travel may be required Criminal Record CheckPhysical Demands:
