The role:

Reporting to the Country Manager, the Controller will direct, oversee and control all financial aspects of the business for the assigned Canadian business unit. In this position, the Controller is responsible for all financial reporting, profit margin analysis, and analyzing working capital by business line. In addition, the Controller oversees the month end close, analyzes actual vs budget, and leads the monthly financial performance review. The Controller plays a key role in assisting local management teams in all financial aspects and processes of the business. The Controller also provides analysis and support as required to senior management.


What do you bring to the role?

To be considered for this position, you should be a designated CPA with 8+ years of manufacturing industry experience, where you have gained strong people management skills. You will lead a team of 3staff, so strong mentorship and coaching experience is critical for this role. You should have exceptional communication skills as you will be regularly communicating with Canadian Operations staff as well as senior leadership in the US and Europe. You should have strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills. Although this is a senior position within the Canadian organization, you must be hands-on and ready to delve into details. You must also have SAP experience to be considered for this opportunity.
