Purpose of the position

Located in Longueuil, the Jazz Longueuil residence managed by Cogir, offers a friendly atmosphere where it is stimulating to work. We have a dedicated and caring team for independent elderly people with a slight loss of autonomy. Permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 9 to 5 and weekends as needed. Specifically, your daily life with us will look like : Welcome the residents and invite them to participate in the activities Animate and oversee supervision during the activities Decorating the premises for special events Manage the logistics pertaining to the activities Regularly validate that activities correspond to the needs and desires of the residents and collaborate with the different departments of the residence to facilitate tasks Plan the activities calendar Promote activities related to the residents Write the in house newspaper as needed and take residents' registrations for the various activities Give residents aqua fitness lessons (training given on site) Lead exercise sessions for residents

The ideal person has :

Required qualifications :

Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset Collect degree in recreation (DEC) or other related field Experience in managing activities related to older people (an asset)
