Purpose of the position

Located in Longueuil, the Jazz Longueuil residence managed by Cogir, offers a welcoming atmosphere. Permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday from 9 to 5 and weekends as required.
Specifically, your daily responsibilities will include:
  • Welcoming and engaging residents in activities
  • Overseeing and participating in activities
  • Decorating spaces for special events
  • Managing activity logistics
  • Ensuring the activities meet residents' needs
  • Planning the activities calendar
  • Promoting resident-related activities
  • Writing in-house communications and managing activity registrations
  • Providing aqua fitness lessons and exercise sessions for residents

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • Strong judgment and organizational skills
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrates integrity, empathy, and autonomy
  • Versatility, planning abilities
  • Responsibility, autonomy, punctuality

Required qualifications:

  • Knowledge of retirement homes preferred
  • Recreation degree (DEC) or related field
  • Experience managing activities for older individuals (a plus)
