What are our expectations?

Reporting to the General Manager, this position supports the safe delivery of quality engines , on time to our customers . This position drives results to our business commitments, continuous improvement, and adherence to all corporate programs. The supervisor is responsible for all employee management tasks, including training, supervising, managing schedules, assigning tasks and evaluating employees. The supervisor is responsible to drive continuous improvement initiatives, promote safe work practices and to actively promote an ethics-based business culture.

What your day to day will look like?

Drive an active-caring culture to improve the safety of the plant.

Respond to EH&S issues, conduct investigations in a timely manner, and bring additional resources as necessary to ensure people are safe and we protect the environment.

Adhere to all legal and corporate EH&S standards and policies. 

Oversee employee development and ensure workforce flexibility.

Drive and nurture a quality culture. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to exceed customer expectations and meet company goals.

Ensure staff understand daily expectations and work routines. 

Manage your presence on the shop floor. 

Resolve day-to-day questions and problems and support opportunities on the shop floor. 

Provide resources and mentor staff to meet daily commitments.

Collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve issues. 

Collaborate with all team members to ensure Plant 32 Roadmap objectives are achieved.

Proven ability to positively influence and motivate others.

Takes personal responsibility for their performance and meets all requirements of established goals and objectives.

Embraces change, eagerly adapts, and achieves other success.

The tools you need to be successful

Post-secondary diploma in Mechanical Engineering or diploma in Aeronautical Engineering. Alternatively, it may be in any field of study with Engineering and/or Business related diploma, and/or candidates may be qualified by demonstrating prior work experience.

A proven pattern of personal and professional development

Proven and/or demonstrated technical knowledge and skills in a variety of areas.

Proven leadership ability. 

Advance computer skills in SAP, databases, ENOVIA, etc.

Competent in both oral and written communication.

Brings high energy and drive for success.

A recognized ‘change agent.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Proven and/or demonstrated ability to achieve results

Training and development in leadership are considered assets.
