As part of our Warehouse Team in Cambridge, the Material Handler - Team Lead is responsible for:
Oversee the daily activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. Plan and prioritize work assignments to ensure optimal workflow and productivity. Train and develop team members on proper warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and company policies. Ensure accurate inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies. Monitor the quality of incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure they meet company standards. Enforce safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Evaluate the performance of team members and provide feedback to improve efficiency and productivity. Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise among team members. Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities and report to management as required. Efficiently use the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory, manage orders, and optimize warehouse operations. Utilize Excel for data analysis, inventory tracking, and generating reports to support decision-making and improve operational efficiency. Completing other duties as assigned May be required to go to alternative warehouse locations to complete daily assigned dutiesWhat you need to be successful in the role:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team to achieve high performance and productivity High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent problem-solving skills to address and resolve operational issues and conflict Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage orders Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, inventory tracking, and report generation Experience on counterbalance, stand up and reach forklifts. Able to lift 50lbs repetitively.-
