Overview
Avison Young's corporate accounting division is currently searching for a talented individual to join the corporate accounting team in Toronto. In this role, you will become an integral part of our valuation accounting group who will be completing a variety of accounting and reporting responsibilities for our Toronto office.
Responsibilities
Review and approve cash receipt application in Netsuite Review of A/P coding Review and approve corporate invoices Complete monthly revenue schedules by region Complete balance sheet supporting schedules by region Review management fee calculation and follow up with PM accounting group as required Prepare or review journal entries Prepare financial statements by region Complete variance analysis based on criteria provided Prepare allocation journal entries between the regions Assist with revenue forecasts Assist with budget preparation Assist with audit inquiries Complete financial analysis as required Assist with other reasonable duties that may arise
Qualifications
1-2 years of accounting experience required; experience in Commercial Real Estate/Appraisal and Valuation industry considered an asset Strong analytical, organization, communication, proofreading and editing skills Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, strong Excel skills required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Organized and able to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team Must be proactive with a keen sense of urgencyAvison Young practices as an equal opportunity employer in all services locations around the world.
