AltaGas - Manager, HRIS

In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our Workday platform. This includes leading the HRIS team to deliver business process configuration, security administration, reporting, and integrations with a focus on data integrity. Additionally, you will drive the overall HR technology strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering innovation. The Manager, HRIS works closely with HR Business Partners, HR Centers of Excellence, Payroll and Digital.
 

You Will:

Develop and execute a long-term vision for Workday and the HRIS function within the organization

Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR technology initiatives with business objectives

Identify opportunities to leverage Workday capabilities and new release functionality

Provide guidance to HRIS team members

Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills

Develop and manage documentation standards for the HRIS team

Foster collaboration within the HRIS team, and with key partners in HR, Digital, Payroll, and other departments

Oversee day-to-day system operations

Maintain an expert level of understanding of Workday configuration

Assist in review, testing, deployment and ongoing maintenance of the Workday platform

Troubleshoot system and integration issues by identifying root cause. Ensure required corrections are implemented to prevent recurrence

Liaise with digital resources and support vendors to resolve issues requiring escalation

Write, maintain, and support reporting requirements

Manage security, confidentiality and data integrity, ensuring appropriate access and restrictions

Audit HRIS system data on a routine basis for accuracy, data integrity, and compliance

Support internal and external audits of HRIS system data

Lead the Workday release process, ensuring proper testing and configuration

Serve as Workday SME to support and understand new features and functionality, providing process and technology solutions to address business needs

Provide training, guidance, and recommendations to users and stakeholders


You Have:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, or related field

7+ Years functional and systems administration experience in Human Capital Management solutions with multiple modules, security, and integration systems, with a focus on Workday

3+ Years of supervisory experience required

Workday certification(s) preferred

Extensive knowledge of Workday systems and processes; expertise with Workday security, calculated fields, advanced reporting, and dashboards

Proven ability to lead system implementations and upgrades from start to finish

Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, including the ability to build partnership with HR business leaders, Digital teams, payroll and other stakeholders

Ability to quickly understand both business and technical concepts and translate into end user's requirements

Effective internal and external customer relations skills, attention to detail, and problem solving

Ability to influence and drive change

Heightened sensitivity to protecting highly confidential information required
