Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Part Time Security Clerk at our Food Store location in La Ronge, Saskatchewan .

Reporting to the Grocery Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:
• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach
• Inspect and patrol premises regularly including entrances and parking area
• Investigate and act as security agent for area, Team Leaders, and guests
• Address all infractions or incidents and report to appropriate Team Leader and Asset Protection
• Answer radio and investigate disturbances as needed by department
• Keep daily logs of events and activities addressed
• Respond to shoplifting notifications appropriately and monitor other forms of internal and external loss
• Alert authorities in cases of emergency such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Circulate among visitors and patrons regularly to protect order and enforce trespassing to all uninvited persons
• Engage and interact with guests to create a positive shopping experience
• Perform cart service, general cleaning, and site and image maintenance
• Deliver member service and customer care as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Customer Service and Security and:
• You have grade 12 or equivalent; experience as a security guard and with customer service would be an asset
• You possess a good understanding of legal guidelines for security and public safety
• You are honest and trustworthy, are results orientated, and strive to be the best in the work that you do
• You are well organized and capable of attaining a high level of production with a minimum amount of supervision
• You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives
• You have outstanding interpersonal and communication and conflict resolution skills
• You have a flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• CPR or First Aid training would be considered an asset
