Dans le cadre du programme de Jeunesse Canada au travail dans les établissements du patrimoine, le Centre acadien de l’Université Sainte-Anne sollicite des candidatures pour combler un ou plusieurs postes d’assistant€ aux archives à temps partiel.

Description de l’organisation

Le Centre acadien est un centre d’archives dont la mission est de préserver et diffuser les archives des Acadiens, en particulier ceux de la Nouvelle-Écosse. Ses services sont offerts au public et à la communauté universitaire.

Courte description de l’emploi

Les personnes retenues participeront au tri, au classement, à la description ou la mise en valeur des archives du Centre acadien. Elles pourront être amenées à traiter des demandes d’archives et à collaborer avec les nombreux partenaires du Centre. Elles effectueront toute tâche connexe visant à faciliter le fonctionnement du Centre ou ses projets de développement.

Profil recherché

Inscrit au bac ou à la maîtrise préférablement en histoire ou un domaine connexe Intérêt pour l’histoire ou les archives Maîtrise avancée du français (écrit et oral) Maîtrise fonctionnelle de l’anglais (écrit et oral) Maîtrise de base en informatique, en particulier de l’environnement Microsoft Être capable de travailler de manière autonome et en équipe Avoir le souci du travail bien fait Expérience ou études en archivistique, en sciences de l’information, en muséologie ou toute discipline connexe serait un atout

La personne recherchée devra également satisfaire aux critères du Programme de Jeunesse Canada au travail soit :

Être citoyen canadien ou résident permanent, ou avoir le statut de réfugié au Canada (les non-Canadiens qui détiennent un visa d’emploi temporaire ou qui attendent d’obtenir leur statut de résident permanent ne sont pas admissibles); Être légalement autorisé à travailler au Canada; Avoir entre 16 et 30 ans au moment de commencer l’emploi; S’engager à travailler pendant toute la durée de l’emploi; Ne pas avoir un autre emploi à temps plein (plus de 30 heures par semaine) pendant la durée de l’emploi avec Jeunesse Canada au travail (JCT); Avoir été étudiant à temps plein au secondaire, au collège, au cégep ou à l’université (tel qu’il est défini par l’établissement d’enseignement) au cours du semestre précédant l’emploi avec JCT; Avoir l’intention de retourner aux études à temps plein au cours du semestre suivant l’emploi avec JCT.

Informations générales

Rémunération : 15,97 ( inclut la paie de vacances) Durée de l’emploi : Emploi temporaire de 20 à 24 semaines réparties entre le 25 septembre 2023 et le 29 mars 2024. Nombre d’heures hebdomadaires à établir selon la disponibilité. Lieu : Centre acadien de l’Université Sainte-Anne (2ième étage de l’édifice de la bibliothèque)
