The Opportunity

Are you passionate about dogs and parks? Do you thrive on gathering and analyzing data? Join our team as a Parks Planning Assistant and play a vital role in enhancing the quality of our community's outdoor spaces

Duties include but are not limited to:

•Conduct weekly data downloads and reviews for people counters at various locations.
•Perform on-site intercept surveys at dog parks over a 4-week period, capturing insights at different times (days, evenings, weekends), ensuring safety by working in pairs.
•Input data collected from surveys with meticulous attention to detail.
•Conduct usage surveys across 7 Heritage Lakes parks at various times, recording valuable information for park management.
•Provide support for Jennifer and Raspberry Park Openings when available.
•Manage files related to the Commemorative Program efficiently.

Qualifications

•Passion for dogs, parks, and community engagement.
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Ability to work effectively in pairs and independently.
•Availability for flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
•Proficiency in data input and management is an asset.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Hours of Work

Work hours vary, days, evenings, and weekends. Hours would range from approximately 8 to 20 hours weekly.

Compensation

$21.56 - $25.75 per hour based on qualifications and experience.

Term

Six (6) week term starting in Mid-June 2024.

Conditions of Employment

The successful applicant will be required to obtain a satisfactory police information check.
