We are inviting applications for the role of a Controller located in Brockville, Ontario. This role primarily involves managing the finance team and providing strategic financial advice. The industry we operate in is health care and the workplace is an on site corporate environment.
Responsibilities:
• Execute strategic financial plans and annual operating and capital plans.
• Manage internal controls systems to safeguard assets without compromising operational efficiency.
• Ensure accurate, comprehensive, and timely financial reporting, including presenting financials to the Board of Directors along with the CEO.
• Conduct financial analysis and forecasting, and monitor the use of financial resources.
• Oversee treasury functions and cash management operations.
• Collaborate with divisional Managers in evaluating and developing financial plans.
• Lead annual external financial statement audits.
• Oversee corporate accounting processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and practices.
• Provide oversight in the development and execution of annual operating and capital budgets.
• Review budget expenditures and variances regularly with financial analyst and management team.
• Propose reallocations in operational and capital resources based on changing priorities.
• Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as Controller or Director of Finance
• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Demonstrated knowledge in Auditing and Budget Processes.
• Experience in Budgeting - Forecasting is required.
• Must possess skills in Costing and Financial Statement Preparation.
• Familiarity with Financial Reporting and Cash Flow Analysis is needed.
• Experience in conducting Annual External Audits.
• Understanding of Corporate Governance and Government compliance is essential.
• Experience in Board Reporting.
• Highly beneficial to have experience in the Health Care sector.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
