What is the opportunity?
We are seeking a highly motivated Director, Consumer Digital Product and Shopping Analytics that will play a crucial role in optimizing the performance of our Avion Rewards Program. The position involves overseeing digital analytics, data-driven decision-making, and strategic insights related to customer behaviour, product performance, and shopping trends. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytics, digital products, commerce, and the ability to lead data-driven growth. The Director will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams and projects to drive business results by collaborating within the broader Loyalty Analytics team and with stakeholders across the Loyalty organization. This role will also help shape the future analytics & insights transformation. As part of the Avion Analytics and Insight CoE (center of excellence) they will be part of the leadership that defines the future analytics roadmap.
The Director, Consumer Digital Product and Shopping Analytics will play a critical role in driving the success of the Avion Rewards Loyalty program by uncovering and providing valuable insight and recommendations based on client behaviour and web traffic. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about data analysis, managing high impact projects, and looking for a challenging and rewarding career in a dynamic and fast-paced industry.
What will you do?
Team leadership:
Lead and manage a team of analytics professionals, fostering a collaborative, innovated, and agile culture; develop, maintain, and present reporting and presentation materials to cross-functional teams, including senior management, to communicate insights and recommendations about the customer shopping journey
Provide guidance where appropriate to advise team on complex data pulls used for analysis and hypothesis testing
Autonomously collaborate with internal stakeholder, prioritize requests, manages to project outcomes, and escalates appropriately
Experience with managing through change and deliver on process enhancements, scalable analysis, dashboards, and model improvements
Data leadership:
Provide leadership on utilizing data and statistical methodology to drive testing strategies that will power program growth.
Enhance and build out the toolset for insights to drive automation and self-service
Analyze customer-level data to understand behaviour, trends, and provide strategic recommendations. Including to drive member engagement with shopping and digital properties.
Build, maintain, and improve conversion funnels
Industry & Product Leadership:
Maintain a deep understanding of our customers, products, competitive landscape
Monitor industry trends and innovations and bring new insights and ideas to the team and make recommendations to product owners to improve engagement and offers performance
Collaborate with product managers to analyze site performance across digital properties (mobile/web)
Develop expertise in using online tools to measure performance
Create business cases to size and estimate financial impact of program features, experiences, enhancements.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Management Analytics)
At least 7+ years of experience in analytics, preferably in an ecommerce or retail environment
Proficiency in data tools and data visualization (Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Google Analytics)
Understanding and history of developing testing strategies that drive program growth
Strong business acumen with ability to bridge between business and technical requirements to drive outcomes
Proven ability to derive insights from data and communicate those insights effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization;
Communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels of the company and the ability to synthesize complex data into an easy to digest format
Adept at presenting to senior leaders (Avion and across P&CB)
Excellent problem-solving and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Self-starter, with the ability to use data for decision making and proactively make relevant recommendations to the business
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Nice to have:
Technical expertise with data modelling that supports BI tools.
