We are searching for a Music Therapist to join our Arborstone Enhanced Care team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Develops, plans, implements, and evaluates comprehensive Music Therapy Programs focusing on the social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual needs of the residents in a variety of settings. Assess the abilities and needs of the population served. Establishes goals and objectives to meet identified needs. Addresses all music therapy referrals from the interdisciplinary team. Prepares rooms and equipment for music therapy programs; prepares material for clients’ use; cleans up program areas; maintains proper care and level of supplies and equipment. Documents client progress; maintains accurate client records; analyzes data to assist in the development of appropriate programs. Attends in-services, workshops, conferences, and other educational sessions for ongoing professional development. Coordinates and supervises student placements where applicable.About You
Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy, completion of -hour clinical internship. Minimum of one-year combined experience in the delivery of music therapy in a health care setting Accredited, or in the process of becoming accredited, with the Canadian Association for Music Therapy.About Us
